Kelley, originally from Scranton, PA, has studied, performed, and taught music for over 15 years. She received her B.A. in Music from Westminster Choir College (Princeton, NJ) in 2004 with a voice principal and piano minor. As an actor and singer, Kelley has performed Off-Broadway, in national tours, and in professional theatres throughout New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania and has shared the stage with many classical and musical theatre stars, such as Andrea Bocelli, Denyce Graves, Paul Groves, Kristin Chenoweth, and Patty Lupone. As a choral artist, Kelley has sung with the New York Philarmonic under the batons of some of the world's greatest conductors. In 2004, Kelley won 2nd place in the Musical Theatre division at the Eastern Regional NATS conference in Princeton, NJ.
As well as being a performer, Kelley has worked as a music teacher, both private and in a classroom setting, and as a vocal coach/accompanist for musical theatre productions. Kelley has also tutored students in Music Theory and foreign language diction (Italian, French, German, and Spanish). Specializing in Musical Theatre and classical repertoire, Kelley has taught many different styles of music ranging from opera and oratorio to pop and R&B. While Kelley encourages her students to perform a wide variety of repertoire, she believes that a firm foundation in classical technique is the key to healthy vocal production and beautiful sound.
Kelley currently teaches voice and piano lessons at Musical
Expressions in Naperville, IL.
